Arrival
K- 4th grade students will enter the building through the CAC. Doors open at 7:20 am. Children will sit with their homeroom group until the 7:30 start of our school day. Students arriving after 7:30 will be marked tardy.
Dismissal
First Grade students will dismiss from inside the CAC. Sign-out sheets will be available at your child’s grade level table. Please be patient as this process will take several minutes. If your child’s dismissal plans are different than normal, please send a WRITTEN note – not an email.
Report Cards and Conferences
Report cards/Progress Reports are provided every ten weeks. Parent/Teacher conferences are held first and third quarters. Report card pick-up days are listed on the CPS calendar. I will send home graded work throughout the year. Parents are encouraged to regularly check the “CPS Parent Portal” for current grade and attendance information.
Toys & Cell Phones
Toys are not permitted in school. Please keep all personal items safe at home. Any items that are a distraction to learning will be held by the teacher until parent teacher conferences. CPS policy does not allow for the unauthorized use of electronics. If a student’s cell phone is seen, it will be confiscated. Parents will be required to pick up the cell phone from the main office.
